ALFREDO DE LA ESCOSURA MUÑIZ
Dr. De la Escosura-Muñiz received his PhD in Chemistry in 2006 from the University of Oviedo (Spain). His post-doctoral period (2007-2010) was granted by a "Juan de la Cierva" Research Fellow at the Institute of Nanoscience of Aragon (Spain) in collaboration with the Catalan Institute of Nanotechnology (Spain), including a stay at the Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden). He was working then as Senior Researcher at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (Spain) from 2011 to 2017 followed by a stay at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain).
From June 2018 he works as "Ramon y Cajal" Senior Researcher at the Nanobioanalysis Group – Department of Physical and Analytical Chemistry of the University of Oviedo (Spain).
Dr. De la Escosura-Muñiz has broad experience in biosensing systems based on nanoparticles and nanochannels for point-of-care diagnostic applications. He has been involved in more than 20 national and international projects and is coauthor of over 60 scientific publications (1350 citations; h-index: 24, according to Isi Web of Science -January 2019-) and 4 patents. He has also supervised 4 PhD and 12 master/end degree works, presented communications in about 75 congresses, organized courses, participated as teacher in master classes, etc. between other merits.
