Alba Iglesias-Mayor is a PhD student at the NanoBioAnalysis Group- Department of Physical and Analytical Chemistry of the University of Oviedo (Spain). Her pre-doctoral period is granted by a "FPU Grant (FPU2014/04686)" from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports (MECD). She obtained her B.Sc. degree in 2014 at the University of Oviedo and her M.Sc. in Analytical and Bioanalytical Sciences in 2015 at the same university.
Alba Iglesias-Mayor has been involved in two projects from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO). She has also been member of the Organizing Committee of the "II Workshop on Electrochemical Devices and II Workshop Electrobionet" held in Mieres (Asturias, Spain) in 2017 and has participated as teacher in laboratory sessions of the degree in chemistry at the University of Oviedo.
Her research interests are focused on the use of different nanoparticles for the development of biosensors for different biomarkers with a great interest in clinical diagnosis.
